Why Choose Envision for your Home Inspection Services?

It is extremely important that a thorough home inspection be performed to protect your investment.  Choosing the right inspector could mean the difference between finding hundreds or thousands of dollars in problems -- or not finding them at all. Unfortunately, home inspectors are not alike even though we are supposed to practice under the same standards.  Also, it can become quite confusing when comparing affiliations and credentials.  Who should you look for?  How do you rate an inspector's ability to find defects?  What types of skills or credentials are required? Do they have a background in construction and building?

Although  the inspector's skill and credentials are extremely important, the amount of credentials shouldn't be the only deciding factors. There are many inspectors that have NEVER built, nor managed, such a complex process as BUILDING a quality home. It can be easy to see other people's mistakes, but having someone who identifies the problems AND understands how the TOTAL HOUSE SYSTEM functions can be EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL!  Why, you may ask?

All homes function as their own "ecosystem", much like a car's engine.house_cut_away.jpg

If you change one thing, it can (and normally does) effect something else.  Likewise, if you change or alter an HVAC system, it could change or alter the insulation envelope, or have an effect on moisture levels within the building envelope.  If you add electrical wiring after a home has been built, it may have an adverse effect on the main electrical panel's ability to handle the extra load placed upon it, creating a fire hazzard.  Having an inspector that knows how these seemingly independent, yet co-dependent systems function as a whole can be a GREAT ATTRIBUTE.
